Veterinarians

William Young, DVM

I earned my B.S and DVM from Colorado State University and came to Oregon for a change of scenery and have been here ever since. I am married, have 2 sons, 5 grandchildren, a Shi-Tzu named “Sunny”, and a Manx cross named “Magic”. I enjoy the interaction of practice with our clients and our coworkers and strive to meet the challenge of providing an exceptional experience for our patients and their owners.

Hans Larsen, DVM

Hans Larsen grew up in the local area on a small farm. His interest in veterinary medicine started early during his years participating in 4H raising and showing sheep. He completed his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 at Oregon State University and started his career as a mixed animal (both large/farm animal and small animal) practitioner. Eventually, Hans moved back toEugene to raise his kids and practice here at West Eugene Animal Hospital. Currently, his family enjoys the company of their cat (Chloe), dogs (Zuma and Tyson), and several goats, cows, chickens and pigs (Bob, Oscar, Giggles, Momma Cow… to name a few). The joy of veterinary medicine is working together with clients to find solutions that improve the health of their pets while enjoying the diversity of challenges in small animal practice.

Craig Seyler, DVM

Dr. Seyler grew up in Salem, Oregon and has been in Oregon for most of his life. He graduated with a degree in Zoology at Oregon State University in 2006, and again in 2011 with a doctorate in veterinary medicine (DVM). He joined West Eugene Animal Hospital in the early spring of 2012 and couldn’t be happier! He enjoys helping pet owners get their pets well and keep them well. He has a passionate curiosity of understanding disease processes and how to use the best possible medicine to provide quality care. When he is not working he can be found recreating in Oregon’s beautiful mountains, streams, and coastline with his wife.
